“Talent does pay!”
The Art Academy of Latvia and SEB Bank are organizing a painting contest for the students of all the courses and the departments. The student hand in their works that will be judged by the jury and that will be exhibited ate the Hall of the Art Academy from 31st of October to 16th of November. One student will receive a grant - 1200 Ls and a place in creative workshop on one of EU countries that is paid by the SEB Bank.
 
The Rector of the Art Academy of Latvia considers the will of supporting new talents by the private bank a very great idea as it is a great challenge to prove the talent. Besides the money the chance to work in a creative workshop abroad is a great experience for future artists. The contest is really exiting and the jury will have to work real hard to announce the results on 13th of November.

The president of SEB Bank admits that in all these 11 year since the bank supports the Art Academy of Latvia he has not lost the excitement before the opening ceremony as it is a great opportunity to meet so many interesting personalities - new talents of Latvia.

Last year Neonilla Medvedeva won the 1st prize and went to a workshop in Paris - real centre of art. She is thanking the Bank and also the Academy for this amazing chance to see the museums, collections and contemporary galleries of Paris, to work there widening the experience. This grant is also a great opportunity to become popular in Latvian art world that allows developing oneself.
