Admission to Master’s studies
From March 30th to July 6th, 2023 (at 23:59, local time), registration for studies in the Master's program will be on open. The application is done electronically by filling out the online form and uploading the necessary documents.
Admission rules for Master’s programme
A student can apply for studies in no more than two departments of the Master's program, indicating the priority of each department. Application is made electronically by filling out the application and uploading these documents:
- Copy of passport or ID;
- Copy of bachelor's or second-level professional higher education diploma and transcript (diploma appendix);
- Master thesis project;
- Portfolio or a collection of creative work;
- CV;
- Payment conformation for application registration.
Document registration fee:
When submitting the documents, applicant pays the fee to the AAL bank account for the application and document registration service - 14 EUR, regardless of how many departments they apply for. The amount of the fee is determined by the AAL and is non-refundable.

Specifying in the reference of the payment: Code 21351. Name and surname (of the student), registration for studies.
Evaluation of applications and interviews from July 10th to July 14th, 2023.
The relevant department is responsible for the time, conduct and format of the interview.
Announcement of admission results – July 18th, 2023, 2 PM.
The results are announced by publishing them in the AAL's information system LAIS, in the applicant's profile.
Signing of study contracts - July 20th to July 21st, 2023, at the AAL, Kalpaka blv. 13, room 22.
When arriving for signing of the study agreement, applicant submits 3 photos (document format 3x4 cm). As well as personally presents the originals of the documents submitted to the responsible staff member of the AAL's Admission Commission, to whom electronic copies were sent when registering for the admission exams
If the AAL’s Admission Committee finds that it has been misled - the electronically submitted documents does not match with the originals of the documents, the applicant is excluded from the competition to study at the Art Academy of Latvia.
