Graphic design students develop the ability to conduct research, think critically, and create purposeful, reasoned communication using the most compelling visual means of expression. Students acquire knowledge and skills to use tools to create meaningful and socially responsible graphic design solutions - communication materials, brand design, packaging, interactive and information design. Also, skills in creating concepts for printed and digital media, brand strategy, creating packaging structures, as well as the use of letters, composition, visual perception and other basic principles are learned in depth.

The focus of the functional design master's studies is intangible design and learning the basic principles in such design fields as social, communication, information, experiential, service and speculative design. Mastering contemporary design creation includes not only the tangible and visual part, but also a set of strategically planned and directed actions that improve and facilitate user’s life quality.
